One Tiny Silvereye With a Lot of Fight in Them 💕

This wee one came to us after a cat attack — small, shaken, and in need of some serious TLC. Silvereyes are delicate little birds and cat bites are always a concern, but this one had the right kind of stubborn energy from the start.

Day Two: Starting to Perch 🌿

Day two and we're starting to feel better and can perch now! That's always a wonderful sign. The shift from floor-sitting to perching is one of the first big milestones in a small bird's recovery — it means they're gaining strength and starting to feel safe in their environment.

Learning to Feed Independently

Not long after, this little legend was exploring eating food on their own — and had gotten themselves absolutely filthy in the process. We've been exploring eating food for ourselves, and we've gotten ourselves nice and dirty. We do love a good bath day. The mess means they're thriving, and that's all that matters.

Moments like this are exactly why we do what we do. Every tiny life matters. 🐦💕
