Conservation through art and culture. We believe creative work has real power to change how people see and care for our native birds, and there are two ways to be part of it:

Artwork: featured monthly. Each month we select one bird themed artwork to feature in The Flock Monthly and on our socials, with full credit to the artist. Painters, illustrators, printmakers, digital artists, all welcome. Please note we only feature human made work. AI generated images will not be accepted.

Photography: our 2027 bird calendar. This November we're releasing a 2027 bird calendar showcasing selected bird photography, with all proceeds supporting the hospital and our work. Selected photographs will also be featured in our newsletter and socials.

How to submit: email your work to flockwellington@gmail.com with your name, the title of the piece, and a sentence or two about it. For calendar photography, please send the highest resolution file you have, as print needs big files. For artwork, a good quality photograph or scan of the piece is perfect.

Submission terms

By submitting your work you confirm that:

• The work is your own original creation and you hold the rights to it

• No AI generated work. All artwork and photography must be created by human hands and eyes. Work created or substantially assisted by AI image generators will not be featured.

• You grant Flock Birdcare Wellington Charitable Trust permission to reproduce artwork in our newsletter and on our social media, and photography in our newsletter, on our social media, and in our 2027 bird calendar, always with credit to you

• You keep full copyright and ownership of your work

• No payment is made for featured or calendar submissions; this is a voluntary contribution supporting a registered charity (CC64878)

• We may lightly crop or resize work to fit our formats, but will never alter it beyond that without asking you first
