Johnsonville Firefighters Support Flock Birdcare Wellington

A Huge Thank You to Johnsonville Fire Station

We were incredibly honoured to be included among the recipients of the Johnsonville Fire Station's 'Strike for Good' drive for local animal charities. On Saturday 27th December, generous donations of toys, tunnels, treats, balls, hay, blankets, and food were collected for local animal organisations — and Flock Birdcare Wellington was among those supported.

Community Support Keeps Wellington's Birds Flying

As Wellington's only DOC-permitted independent bird rescue, every donated item goes directly to the care of birds in our hospital. We are a fully volunteer-run charitable trust, and community support like this makes an enormous difference to what we can provide for our patients.

Thank you to the New Zealand Professional Firefighters and everyone who donated. You are helping keep Wellington's native and introduced birds alive and flying.
